Hello I am trying to figure out how to indent with TAB when I'm typing inside a text or a shape. TAB is switching to other shapes instead of inserting a tab character. Is there a way to insert a tab character instead?

Hi,

try Alt + 09 on the numerical keyboard.

Kind regards,

Although this may work, ALT+09 is an odd shortcut, and it takes effort to memorize it.
Why don't we have a more intuitive shortcut that involves the TAB key itself?
For example, CTRL+TAB, or ALT+SHFT+TAB or ALT+CTRL+TAB....

We'll add shift+tab in the next release.

Please notes that Shift+Tab in text editors decreases indentation (basically acting as the opposite of Tab). Adding Shift+tab to act as Tab might be a bit confusing.

Good point. We'll use: Shift+Tab => Indent, Shit+Alt+Tab => outdent and Alt+Tab => tab.
