Hi there,

I have been using draw.io for a while and think it's great. I've noticed something though I wanted to reach out to the community to see if there is something I'm doing wrong, which is causing confusion on my side.

In short, I've noticed that often, shapes become duplicated when editing a document (for example a network diagram). What happens is that I create a diagram or some text, sometimes imported from Lucidchart, and I notice that shapes end up with duplicates of themselves on top of each other. I can tell because lines and shapes become heavier, almost like they are 1 pixel offset from the copy beneath.

I can fix this by deleting the duplicates, but this is a drain when working on a diagram with many shapes.

Anyhow I just wanted to mention, interested to hear if anyone else has seen this, and if so what they did to resolve.

Many thanks!

George

Here's a little video snippet showing what I mean - the lines in the diagram are duplicated and I remove them by clicking the top one and deleting:

Please write a step by step process on how to reproduce this.

Although the process doesn't work 100%, this has been my experience much of the time:

  1. Copy a diagram from Lucidchart
  2. Paste into a new draw.io document
  3. Inconsistently a number of shapes will be "duplicated" - this can be detected by them appearing slightly "bold" in the interface, and can be tested by selecting a shape and deleting, as in my previous video
This has also occurred on new diagrams but not sure of the exact steps to repeat unfortunately.
