Real Time Collaboration

I see mentions of being able to collab with diagrams in real time everywhere, but I can't seem to get it to work.  The best I can manage is sharing it, and for viewers/editors to see changes they have to refresh after a save... and the loading time after a refresh makes the term "collabing in real time" kind of a stretch to say the least.

I'm hoping I'm doing something wrong.

Where are you storing your diagrams?

Hi.  I got as far as storing the diagram on my google drive, as I believed it was required for real time changes to be reflected on the other ends.

Yep, Google Drive should work. Try Incognito Mode to check if an Extension is blocking the network connection.

Ok so I tried that, and also tried using the iframe embed code on a blank html document just to see what would happen.
The refreshes are much faster now, but the issue still stands... any time an update is made, it has to be saved and the viewer on the other end must refresh to see it updated.

Oh did you turn off autosave? That needs to be enabled for realtime collab to work.

I didn't turn it off but the specific PC i'm currently using makes it fail 4 out of 5 times, so to help it along i manual save.
Are you telling me that if autosave is working properly, changes are automatically reflected in real time on the viewers screen?

To elaborate on my immediate prior response, I'm using a PC that has some connections blocked which sometimes causes browser functionality to go wonky or fail depending on the site I'm on.  I'm using a virtual browser as well as a separate local browser to test to see when/if the changes get reflected.  The virtual browser also blocks some things here and there.

We're using websockets for real time collab. If those are not blocked, you should see remote changes in a fraction of a second. You should also see collaborator cursor positions. If websockets are blocked we use a fallback that is slower.

That explains a lot.  I'll have to try it on devices that are free of these problems.  Thank you.  I'll come back if i continue to have the issue.  :)

p.s. will viewing in real time work on a mobile device like a phone, via using the link in a browser?

Yes, it should work in browsers on mobile devices, too.

Hi.  I came home and attempted to use another device.  For some reason this one also has the same failure to auto save.  How can i go about unblocking the websockets?  Also, I tried inserting the diagram into a google sheets.  I did it earlier on a different device but on this one it says Error: ScriptError: Authorization is required to perform that action.
