Conditional Data Display

Hello.

I have a diagram (family tree diagram) and I am using placeholder text & data to display data for members of my family.

The data fields include a lot of data including first name, middle name, nick name, last name, date of birth, date of death, relative relationship to me, and also various DNA data for people I have DNA data from Ancestry.com on. (I'm searching for my birth father). 

What I want to do is have certain text display or not display based on whether a piece of data was entered for a person.

Examples:

If I have a date of birth and date of death entered, I want both dates to appear with a dash " - " in between them. If there is no date of death entered, I don't want the dash to appear.

If I have a nickname entered, I want it to appear in quotes - but if no nickname is entered I do not want the quotes to appear.

If I have DNA data entered, I want the units (cM) to appear next to the number. If I don't have the data entered, I don't want the units to appear.

etc...

Any help you can offer is appreciated.
