Arrange layout to shorten links/arrows and make it logical

Hello!

I've got a simple diagram, see screenshot below.

I want to arrange the layout so that the blocks are parallel & that the linking arrows are horizontal. I want to have a layout that avoids having arrows crossing each other.

I've tried several layouts but nothing does what I'm looking for.

I see that there is a way to create a custom layout with code.
Perhaps this would be the way?

What would the closest option?

Would laying out the stuff vertically instead of horizontally help?
