Cannot open files from Drive?

Hello, the files in my drive are blank but they should open with draw.io. I double click them, i get the preview unavailable pop up and when i try to open with/connect with the app...it doesn't work, now the draw.io app is connected but i still can't open files like that.

Does anyone know what the issue might be?

So i noticed if i save the file on desktop and open from there it works. Saved in in my drive, the file does appear with the draw.io skin and can be opened by double clicking it but the files from My team drive are still blank nad are not connected somehow.

I can confirm I'm having a similar issue, and can provide more specific conditions:

a) using the desktop version of Draw.IO

b) using Google Drive File Stream integration

1) Create new Draw.IO diagram

2) Save to Google Drive via File Stream (filesystem op instead of GD API op, probably can't/doesn't provide appropriate metadata to GD)

When looking at the draw.io files in Google Drive through the browser thereafter, it does not recognize the files as Draw IO diagrams. There was one FAQ suggestion to rename/append .xml, save, and then remove the suffix, but this doesn't seem to correct anything. Having the .xml appended does make Google Drive suggest Draw.IO as an application, but the diagrams still fail to produce a thumbnail or rendering.

Hope this helps! Would like to see this resolved. It also makes sharing diagrams problematic.

Please check now if the .drawio suffix is correctly recognised by Drive.

Hi,

I can confirm that Google at recognizing the drawio extension and offering Draw.IO to open it. (openwith.png)

File list is still off kinda (filelist.png), and no thumbnails or rendering of the first page, but all the other functionality seems to be there.
