Does inline latex work in drawio?

Latex is inserted with $$ (i.e. $$latex$$). However this renders it in new line. I want to have it rendered in same line. For example in [this page](https://math.stackexchange.com/posts/2359751/edit), there is a inline latex $[0, 1]$ which is specified with singel dollar $. Is this possible in drawio?

We use Mathjax in draw.io directly. The question is whether Mathjax supports this, which I don't know.

One can use \(latex\) for the inline mode, per the documentation of Mathjax.
