I believe recently something has changed and regulalry when selecting multiple items ctrl+c then ctrl+v it pastes a LONG line of text instead of the objects selected.
Effectively I can now only copy/paste one item at a time which is slowing me down.

I am facing the exact same problem. When copy-pasting all contents of a file (Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C) in the online draw.io version and pasting it immediately (Ctrl+V), I see a LONG line of text/url kind of style.
You have any update or workaround for this already?

Also noticed that pasting to the draw.io desktop version does NOT work.

Please test on 29.7.8. If the issue is there file a ticket at https://github.com/jgraph/drawio (for web version), describing environment and reproduction steps.

running v.29.7.8 on pc app

If I click two items (holding ctrl+c) and paste, it pastes a long string of text. ctrl+z to Undo at this point will also revert to the previous step BEFORE ctrl+v which could mean losing work for some people.

However, if I click and drag over the same two items, I can ctrl+c then ctrl+v with no issue.

Tested today on v30.0.2 and I am still seeing the copy/paste issue at times

This issue seems to happen when manually clicking objects while holding ctrl, the same objects when selected via dragging the box over them do not replicate the same issue.

Items selected manually then ctrl+c ctrl+v reliably fails in the following manner:

Interestingly at this point if I ctrl+z it seems to go back 2 steps but I can still ctrl+y back to where I actually was.
