Inserting links in diagram

Hi!

Using the web-based version, I created a diagram where I added hyperlinks to specific words inside boxes. For example "Read more in our guidelines" .  

 

I then inserted the diagram into a google docs using the Drawio-add on. Now, none of the links are clickable? Even if I remove the hyperlink that is created automatically when inserting the diagram (if you click that link, it opens the diagram in Drawio) , none of the links are clickable. 

Is there any solution to this? Seems very strange that there is a function for inserting the hyperlinks when creating the diagram but then the hyperlinks are un-usable?!  The diagram has to be inserted to a google document. 

Very thankful for any tips on how to fix this.

In Google Docs there is no way to insert anything other than a PNG into the doc, the limitation is on Google's side, not ours.

Aha really? I thought the whole point of installing and using the drawio add-on for google docs was to be able to insert the diagram in a different format with more possibilities.  So when using the add-on, it just inserts a png that can be automatically updated when making changes in the orginal file, but thats it?
