HI
Hope someone can help me restoring files of draw.io. I have create 4 diagrams at a Confluence page a couple of months ago. Last week I moved the confluence page to a new space in confluence. I am not totally sure the error occured after moving the page to a new space (or that is occured after confluence cloud update), but today i found out that two draw.io diagrams (out of 4) show error 404. I removed the page to the old confluence space, but still i see the error message. When i try to open them with draw.io it shows: read error: file not found. Does anyone know what i can do to restore it somehow? I spend major time on the diagrams so i hope i can find the files someway :)

The diagrams are stored as page attachments.

Yes but only 2 of them (the ones i can open). The other two are gone, while draw.io iframe is on the page.

We've seen cases where the attachments were moved to the parent page for whatever reason. Can you please check if those 2 missing attachments are stored in the parent page?

Hi, via view file storage (at the page which is not loading the draw.io diagrams. I have found the file names of the diagrams. I decided to search for those two files names in confluence. Now i have found the png and mxGraphModel files. However, when i search on the page where those attachments can be found i can not find any draw.io diagrams. I am happy i have found the png files in order i can download the diagrams and eventually create them again. However, will there be a way how i can restore the draw.io diagrams by inserting a new diagram and modify it with the mxGraphmodel files? BTW it is very strange that Atlassian support did not provide a solution for this problem. Based on the info i have send them their technical guys should know better, since all the technical macro info is on the page....

Found the solution :) I downloaded the 4 files (2 png files and 2 mxGraphmodel files) and decided to add them as attachment to the page where the draw.io frames are displayed in the weird way. After I saved the page, the weird draw.io frames are changed into the diagrams which i can now edit again. Thanks for your help. Especially the info of David Benson helped me a lot with the macro i needed to find the file names.

The mxGraphModel files are draw.io diagrams. Save those to local filesystem, open up a blank draw.io editor and drag and drop the files in.

Cool. Can you give me exact details on how you moved the page to another space please? I'd like to test it to see whether the attachments aren't moving. If they are not, Atlassian have a serious bug.
