Link shape with link to word document

Hello all

I made a diagram with drawio. Now I would like to link a shape to a Word document so that when I click the shape, my Word document is opened.

I would like to do the same with another shape with an Excel document.

How can I link a shape to a document?

Hi Markus,

It is not possible to link Word doc directly but you might want to try the following as a workaround:

upload doc file to Google Drive (it might need to be converted to GDocs first), right mouse click the shape > Edit link > click Google Drive icon > find Word doc, select it and click Apply.

This way when link is clicked, Word doc won't be opened directly but there should be "Open with" option visible.

Hopefully this will help a bit.

Hy, thanks alot for answering. Ok, just Google Docs...

And when i like to start an other Programm, an exe or a batch file with a click in drawio? Also not posibile?
