to draw.io
Hey guys,

I had an idea for Draw.io that would make an already excellent product into something even better (as if that's possible)! While functionally, Draw.io has pretty much everything I need, I often find myself having to hunt and peck somewhat aimlessly around the user interface, to look for the option I want (text size, font color, background color, object alignment, etc.). One of the best solutions to software navigation I have ever seen in my life is the Command Palette. If you've used Visual Studio Code or GitHub's Atom Editor, you know what I'm talking about.

It would be amazing if Draw.io had a command palette, where I could search for any action (anything in menus, sidebars, etc.) and modify any attribute through a search-driven interface. You only have to remember one keyboard shortcut, to invoke the command palette, and everything else is search-driven.

In fact, this topic comes up so often (for me), with various applications, that I wrote up an article about it a little while back. https://trevorsullivan.net/2019/09/18/frictionless-user-experiences-add-a-command-palette-to-your-react-application/

I realize that draw.io is free, and beggars cannot be choosers, so please consider this accordingly. :)

Cheers,
Trevor Sullivan

Certainly an interesting idea, added as https://github.com/jgraph/drawio/issues/2282
