Hi all

I am new to draw.io. I have been trying to achieve the following. Any help appreciated.

I have a bunch of boxes connected with connectors (line), which established a parent-child or descendant relationship between the boxes. I turned on "folding tree" property of a box and can collapse all its descendants. Great!

However, there are cases where two boxes are on the same "level" conceptually. I link the two boxes with a line connector to show, say, how they pass information. Whichever line connector I use to connect the two boxes seem to imply a parent-child relationship. Can I turn off the parent-child relationship between the two boxes, such that it won't collapse when I fold a tree?

I guess I am trying to distinguish two types of relationship with a connector: (i) parent-child and (ii) same level.

Hope it's clear.

Thanks!

We'll add an "Ignore Edge" property for this in the next release.
