Hi,

1. I draw object B in the background layer
2. Then I create layer A, highlight layer A
3. Draw a new small object A on layer A but it is small overlays inside object B

So when I toggle layers, I found out object A belongs to background layer, not layer A.

Is there a way to draw many small objects on layer A but they are encircled
inside the large object B in background layer?

Thanks for comments

I found a workaround - by connecting small objects in a layer and out connect to any object outside the background, I can toggle the overlay.

Hi Paul!

I saw that you posted you layer question here also.

It is great that our additional explanation helped you the other day,
but I will paste the answer here if maybe someone else has the similar one.

"The layers can be confusing sometimes when displayed together.

My initial advice would be to untick the background layer in order to see
if the object A stays on the drawing area.

If it does, it means that object A belongs only to layer A
and the object B belongs to layer B.

And please,
take a look at the short video explanation about using layers

Regards,
Marija
