Like for example is done on sketchbook.io. I'm talking about a mild sketchy feeling to it, so diagrams don't feel like they are set in stone.

I could basically draw them myself in illustrator. However when importing it, it basically becomes an image so most styling doesnt work anymore.

Can anybody advice me a way how to convert an svg that to a native editable shape?

Thx

We have a commercial service for converting SVG shapes to our native shape format. SVG files can also be dragged into the diagram (requires a modern browser).

Hey Wilfred,

I found a library of sketch style icons on flaticon: https://www.flaticon.com/packs/hand-drawn
They also come with SVGs and I just need to mention the author for commercial use.

Has anybody else come across a hand-drawn sketch-style shape library for draw io? Would be great :-)

Another tip would be: Use the open source tool inkscape to create your own icons and save them as svgs.

REgards,
Florian
