Icannot install or update my logitech wireless/bluetooth device I now have error code 28 driver unknown. Saw in the forum to run this file and upload to here . I even have a very annoying beep because of this. I have tried all the standard stuff. uninstalling on device driver look for new item etc. nothing works or helps.

I performed an customary procedure's. I own Iobit software . Driver booster, advance system care ultimate. iobit malware fighter iobit uninstaller Smart defrag all latest editions. I did not have an issue until I ran driver updater and it came back with the error 28 no driver device code. And for the record the beep my computer gives out on it is annoyingly.

I had rolled back my computer to a few days earlier since a windows update failed and well I could not start my computer. Rolled it back. Ran my Iobit software to update all my drivers. AS that is usually the first thing trouble shooters always tell me to do. So I ran my Iobit System care Ultimate. and then ran driver booster. and the windows system repair tools. All that stuff. It updated several drivers said it could not update 2. both Logitech drivers error code 28 . I did the uninstall the driver run the scan for new hardware. Before I can run that the Logitech driver not installed pops up. like with in seconds. So I ran search on the internet to see what I should try next. This forum at Logitech ( I was looking for Logitech support to see if they had something about it. ) So I looked on here. I see lots of folks have this issue. FyI my Logitech m-r0065 is using the unified receiver not the Bluetooth. even thou the Logitech app says Bluetooth.. I ran the windows troubleshooters that i could find. No I have not rolled it back again. and now i ha ve not read the user manual for driver booster. When I saw so many others with same issue. I realized it probably is not my computer per say. so looking for information. and the service techs I speak with understand that means I have run all the normal troubleshooter stuff. At the age of 64 and using computers since windows 98 I have done a lot of troubleshooting over the years and spoke with a lot of service techs.

There is error code 28 with Logitech Cordless Device. Is Logitech device unable to connect to the computer? What series/model is the Logitech device? Please speciufy it so that we can look for corresponding driver for you.

mr-0065 mouse. Newest versions of Logitech plus. I do not know if no driver before the windows failed update. when I rolled back my computer and ran the driver updater I found the error code 28 on Logitech unifying receiver. Receiver seems to work, Mouse had no issues. I discovered that I had to have the unifier plugged in because otherwise I have no mouse Logitech program does not show any unifier. shows Bluetooth.

This is the windows failed update 2023-11 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5032288). So not really sure where my problem actually is. I had to roll back computer to boot up. now failed update tries a few times then sorry can't update. I cannot update the missing Logitech driver. ran all t he usual update stuff. ( how I found this issue) Found online a potential diagnostic fix by running a "clean boot" I do not feel safe stopping alot of windows then doing things and . If I cannot find a solution, I will ask my son. A computer tech. makes good money, I just hate asking him first because well he doesn't charge me. ( i couldn't've afford his cost lol). I don't kike taking advantage. So I look online and try to find a solution myself. ( been on computer since windows 98 had HP's for a longtime trust me talked to alot of techs and have basic troubleshooting steps memorized.)

The first time when it happened (in May/June 2021) Dell support took care of it by replacing the card. For a while it worked fine, but I got the same issue again (in October 2021), and this time Dell sent a technician at home who again replaced the card, yet explained to me that the issue was not caused by the hardware but rather the software (drivers and OS).

- first I followed instructions the Dell technician told me last time, which is to Deactivate and Reactivate the card from the Device Manager. I also tried uninstalling the device and restarting my laptop.

Please do yourself a favor and NOT use 3rd party driver sites like driver booster. You never know what information from your machine they are uploading (and to what country it is going), and you never know what payload is in the packages they are downloading.

Well I do agree with your concern, but when you're an architecture student who really needs to work on his projects you have to try everything to fix the issue that the manufacturer seems not to be efficient in solving...

Driver Booster is a must-have program for updating all out-of-date drivers on Windows. Obsolete drivers may degrade your PC's performance and even cause system crashes. Driver Booster, developed by IObit, provides the greatest one-click solution for quickly and securely updating outdated drivers, installing missing drivers, and fixing faulty drivers. In addition to updating drivers, Driver Booster also delivers various powerful features to improve system compatibility and stability.

Click the icon at the bottom right of Driver Booster interface, COPY & PASTE your license code into the box, and click the icon at the right side. Or visit here for step-by-step activation guidance with screenshots.

Pro version users can always enjoy the latest version automatically with the Update automatically checkbox ticked by default in the Settings. FREE users can manually update Driver Booster by using either of the methods below:

When opening Driver Booster, you will see an eye-catching SCAN button. You can start a scan to check the status of drivers immediately. Furthermore, you can check the PC information by clicking the sidebar at the right side of the main window.

You can see the total quantity of outdated device drivers and outdated game components at the top of the scan results screen. The scan result depends on your PC condition. And Driver Booster scans for 4 issues:

The time needed for the update depends on driver size and download speed. You can choose Automatically reboot PC or Automatically shut down PC on the updating screen. After it's completed, you will get a countdown message to reboot PC or shut down PC accordingly.

Game Boost stops unnecessary apps/services to help you get a better gaming experience. You can just click Turn On to boost. Before the boost, you can click the Configure text link and select the items you want to stop to boost your game performance.

These tools can help detect and fix some common problems like no sound, network failure, wrong resolution, update drivers offline, clean invalid device data, check the system & hardware information, and update programs to the latest versions. Besides that, the tool Backup & Restore can back up drivers, restore your drivers and restore your system to a previous good status. You can use these tools anytime by clicking the icon on the left side of the main interface and clicking the tool you need.

Note: Clean Invalid Device Data will remove the unplugged device data only. The unplugged devices' drivers are still installed on your computer. When you plug them again, you can use them without any problems.

Click the icon to open Action Center and learn more about how the other recommended well-known IObit products can help you with your computer. If you haven't installed them yet, it's strongly recommended that you click the Install now button to install them.

If you are using Driver Booster Pro, you can also find an exclusive offer for Driver Booster Pro version users only to purchase other IObit programs and IObit trusted Partners' products at a very considerable discount here.

If the option 'Automatically update drivers while the system is idle' is ticked, Driver Booster will automatically 'download' the updates or 'download and install' the updates in the background when your system is idle.

In the scan result window of Driver Booster, you can click the button at the end of every listed outdated driver, and select Roll Back, if it is available, to roll back the driver to its previous version.

Click the icon on the left side of the main interface and open Backup & Restore. If there is any driver version available for backup, it will be listed under the Driver Backup tab. To back them up, just tick the checkbox before them and click the Back Up button.

In the Driver Restore tab, you can select the driver you want to restore, choose the wanted version, and click the Restore button to re-install the backed up (the previous) version.

If there is any driver you don't want to update, you can click the button at the right side of a driver line, and select Ignore to ignore either this driver update or all updates of this device.

Silent Mode can help you a lot when you want to focus on what you are doing. Once you select the option Silent Mode in Settings, Driver Booster will automatically turn to silent mode when your full-screen task or specified program/game is running, which means you will not receive any notification from Driver Booster.
