Engr. Dr. Victor O. Oyenuga was born in the Babcock University Town of Ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, South West of Nigeria, on Sunday March 20, 1955.

He had his primary school education at Wesley School, Ilishan Remo and secondary at Remo Divisional High School, Sagamu Remo, all in Ogun State, South West, Nigeria.

In 1973 he proceeded to the famous Yaba College of Technlonogy, Yaba-Lagos, where he graduated as the Best Graduating student of the 1977/78 Session. After his National Youth Service in 1979, he proceeded to University of Lagos and graduated with First Class honours in Civil Engineering in 1981. He went to Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in 1983/84 Session and graduated as one of the best three in the MSc/DIC Public Health Engineering in 1984. In 1976, he sat for Licenciate Examination of the Chartered Institute of Building, Ascot, UK and was acclaimed, by the Institute, to have gathered the greatest number of Distinctions in the examination in the Uk and Overseas.

He passed the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) in 1985 and became a Corporate Member of The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE)and a Fellow in 2002. He is a Past President of The Nigerian Institution of Structural Engineers (2009/2011).

He lectured briefly at the Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos and at Lagos State Polytechnic where he resigned his appointment as a Senior Lecturer and the Acting Head of Civil Engineering Department in 1989.

He joined his present firm as a Technical Officer in 1976, and finally returned in 1989 as an Associate Partner and full Partner in 1991. He became the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director in 2005. He is an author of many Structural Engineering books and has quite a number of challenging designs to his credit.

Engr. Dr. Oyenuga is married with children and all are members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nigeria.

My first major assignment in the firm was the design of the machine base at the Apapa Amusement Park which was on cellular raft foundation. During student lock outs and holidays, I returned to the office and jobs handled during those periods, in addition to numerous private clients jobs, include the Naval Clinic, Manning Record Office, Nigerian Army, Apapa, the Administrative Office, Adult Education Centre, Kano; and the Design of Roads, Military Training School, Makurdi. Thus, I was fully equipped for both civil and structural engineering work prior to my graduation as a Higher Diploma holder. All the above were done under the supervision of senior engineers in the firm.

Roads and Airfields: Iwere-Ile Wasimi Road (F118). This is a 44km earth road designed to the Trunk 'A' asphaltic cement paved road (Design speed, 110km/hr). The road consists of two major bridges at km.6 (45m span) and km.43.6 (105m span). The bridges were of reinforced concrete types standing on piles.
I led the design team that handled both the survey and design of the Auchi - Agenebode Road project -- 64km. (2nd year Highway Sector Loan -World Bank Project) which has been completed and that of Bida - Busu - Dutsun Road.
I led out in the design check and supervision of Azare Air Strip.

Buildings and Other Projects: Some of the building projects handled include:
Ikeja Plaza: This is a four storey building structure comprising of beams and waffle slab housing a modern market and a bank. The then N10m (about $15m) structure was handed over to the Lagos State Government in July, 1990.
Teslim Balogun Stadium Complex: This is an Ultra-Modern Stadium project for Lagos State Government. The complex comprises the Main Bowl (25,000 capacity), Sport Hall, Olympic Size Swimming Pool and Swimming Pool Pavilion, Squash Court and Lawn Tennis Court and Pavilion. It was used for FIFA Junior World Cup in 2009.
Gulf Oil/NNPC Housing Estate: This is a N450m Housing Estate for Gulf Oil Nig. Ltd. A team of engineers including myself designed the project, which has been commissioned.
Apapa Jetties For NNPC: Reconstruction of the Petroleum Products Jetties, Apapa. The Works had been commissioned. The civil engineering design consists of the jetties, jetty infrastructures and shoreline protection including anchored concrete sheet piles. Total cost was $41m plus N294m.
Babcock University: Babcock University is one of the first set of private universities approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 1999. I was involved in the production of the University Master Plan and am currently a leading member of the multi-disciplinary consultants for the University Projects including faculty buildings, stadium complex, Roads and Water Supply.
Other Projects: Other projects handled by me which are yet to be executed include the 17-Storey Nuru Oniwo Tower and a 10-Storey high rise building for Eko International Bank PLC.
