New (a bit rusty) player in London

Hi all

I just joined the group with a strong hope to go back to playing and DM/GM-ing. I'm over 40 :) and live in East London, near Royal Victoria. If you need a location I will be happy to host games in my place.

I'm originally from Poland where I used to play and GM a lot. I mean really a lot. Usually, it was two+ evenings weekly, game conventions and groups, LARPs and all that. Since I moved to the UK in 2005, I stopped playing completely and I really miss it.

I would love to join a player group and see how it goes. I can also DM/GM if there is a need for it but I would rather play a few weeks before I jump into that. I need to see if you guys like my style which is more telling and story and fewer dices and rules.

In terms of games, my experience from the past covers Warhammer, Alien, Traveller, Vampire: The Mascarade, Kult, Call of Cthulu, Shadowrun, Cyberpunk 2020 and limited D&D. Currently, I feel I would be able to jump straight into Kult, Cthulu, Alien, WH40k or Cyberpunk. WH and D&D will need a bit of refresh. As you probably guessed I'm more into SF and horror than fantasy.

Timewise I can't do Wednesdays :(

Our group (currently 3 player, ably guided by Keeper-in-charge Adam) is playing Delta Green / Cthulu modern on Monday evenings. We’re finishing up an adventure next week Monday, which, this being Cthulhu, means that either (a) we’ll be starting a brand new campaign, rolling up new characters, or (b) our characters continuing the campaign with some limbs missing and sanity points on the low-ish side. It’ll be easy for characters to join the team. We’re hoping to finish up our current (first adventure of a campaign) adventure, hopefully next Monday.

If you’re interested in joining our little group in the fight against things humankind was not supposed to know, just let us know - I’ll put you in touch with Adam so you can get a feel for the campaign, and, cross fingers, start generating a character.
