New Player, Longtime Splatbook Reader

Hi guys,

Now that my life and career allows me a little breathing room, I'd like to finally get to play these games I've spent so long reading the sourcebooks for! I'm a 31 year old theatre director and writer, and I'm most interested in joining a friendly group of Pathfinder or D&D 5e players for a game. Are there any tables looking for an extra player?

I understand the basics of both systems very well, but will probably need reminding of specific instances or anything not found in the core books.
