Hey all,

I am an experienced GM who used to play at Dragons on the Hill a few years ago. I am interested in starting up a Trail of Cthulhu game on Tuesdays. Ideally I would like four or five players in total.

The plan is to start with a short scenario so people who haven't used it can get their heads around the system. Assuming we all like it enough, I would then go on to run Eternal Lies, a published campaign which is a tribute to some of the classics for Call of Cthulhu such as Masks of Nyarlathotep.

You are investigators hired by Janet Winston-Rogers, a wealthy benefactor and daughter of entrepreneur and armchair occultist Walter Winston, to solve a family mystery. As the story develops, you will travel to all four corners of the globe and if you are lucky, you might even save the world.

Eternal Lies is a long campaign with mature themes, and much of the horror relates to what humans are capable of doing to each other. It explores the effect of the horrors on the characters and their dependents, and doesn't pull any punches.

If you are interested or want any additional information, let me know.

Phil

Is this replacing an existing group? As, if all the groups turn up (which has admittedly been a bit patchy recently), I'm not sure there's space for another group on a wednesday.

Subject: {Dragons on the Hill} Looking to start a Trail of Cthulhu game on Wednesdays

Hey all,

I am an experienced GM who used to play at Dragons on the Hill a few years ago. I am interested in starting up a Trail of Cthulhu game on Wednesdays as soon as I have the players I need. Ideally I would like four, and already have one who has said they want to play, so that leaves three open slots.

The plan is to start with a short scenario so people who haven't used it can get their heads around the system. Assuming we all like it enough, I would then go on to run Eternal Lies, a massive published campaign which is a tribute to some of the classic campaigns for Call of Cthulhu such as Mask of Nyarlathotep. The system itself is relatively simple, using Gumshoe, and focuses on the investigative part of Cthulhu stories. Dice rolls are never required to find essential clues, and only really come into it for more practical skills. This leaves the focus of the game on interpreting the clues you have found.

Let me know if you're interested or want any other information,

Phil

Oh, I assumed the fact there was a vacant slot in the Table Bookings thread meant there would be space. Is this not the case?

Okay, I've updated the original post to show that the game will be on a Tuesday and not Wednesday. Otherwise the details are pretty much the same. Let me know if you're interested,

Phil
