The world cup is upon us or the pub is trying to sell a lot of flags.

So I have asked the pub what their plan is the world cup and the answer as you might expect is unclear.

There are so far no firm plans but it looks like they are are expecting to pub to booked for all England games and I suspect that there well be conflicts when the semi finals start getting underway.

It looks like if there are England or other significant games we will be displaced form the Function room to the Restaurant assuming that there are no paying customers.

That being said all it would take is fans of a team wanting to book a room to book at short notice to cause us to be bumped.

Hopefully we will get notice but there is no guarantee.  Sorry to be vague but that's the score.

With things being so vague, the potential for us to be bumped at short notice being so high and the lack of adequate space in the restaurant when all groups are present, I think my group is going to have to (reluctantly) forgo the pub for the duration of this apparently vital event. There simply isn't enough room in the restaurant to accommodate everything needed when there are more than two groups in attendance, and coupled with the noise to proximity ratio, makes playing our current campaign events untenable. We'll be playing via Google hang-outs until we can get back to normal.

Good luck to everyone else!
