Greetings and Hello!

I'm wondering if I could get a quick hand count of people who are thinking of attending tomorrow night.

The Heritage Alliance is honored to be hosting this months reading and welcomes the Lawrence Poetry Community as a new partner.

I think people will enjoy the environs but our office could be a bit on the cozy side.

Stephanie and I are going to move some furniture around today and tomorrow. Plus, (big applause!!) she's volunteered to help restore some order to our post-season "mud and rubber boots".  (We do a lot of grassroots partner support all over the state so any season is always a post-season of sorts...)

If anyone's interested in pitching in to help us get things ready it'd be super appreciated

I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new people.  Again, give me a shout and let me hear your thoughts about tomorrow night and about how KVHA can best help LPC.

Hi, everyone!  I hope everyone is staying warm and dry this week!

Here's a little something to tempt you outdoors - another LPC poetry event!

Here are the details, thus far:

Date and time: Thursday, 13 December, 7-9:30PM.

Location:  Kaw Valley Heritage Alliance, 912 E. 9th Street.  I block
east of Connecticut Street, 1 block west of New York Street

Confirmed poets: Tasha Haas, Stephanie Ann Barrows (me)

Theme: Returning of the Light: A Midwinter's Celebration

Plan on an open-mike following.  All poetry is welcome, as long as it
fits the theme in some way.  Remember, this is a celebration of the
Solstice.  This could be spiritual/religious, earth-centered,
philosophical, whatever....just make sure you are respectful of
others' beliefs.  Just state your truth without pushing it onto
others.

Practice the golden rule....

I need some help with providing refreshments/drinks.  Let me know if
you can bring something to eat/drink for others.  If you can't, please
show up anyway!

Thanks for your patience.  I hope to see you there!

abraços,

Stephanie Ann Barrows
