I'm new to the lora scene.

I bought in in conjunction with a TrackerD to try and setup an alert system for my grandmother. Haven't even touched it yet.

The USB dongle covers up all 4 USB ports, so I have to squeeze in a USB extender/hub to use it. Felt kinda mislead reading the documentation and seeing example pictures using this same hardware. (no nit-picking, USB on 3B and 5 are the same).

In LA66 USB LoRaWAN Adapter User Manual, 1.8 Example: Send & Get Messages via LoRaWAN in PRi, #2 says to install Minicom, which doesn't seem to work with current Raspian OS 64bit.
So I installed CuteCom.
At the bottom it list "Silicon Labs CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller @ttyUSB0 Connection: 115200 @ 8-N1" so it appears to be connected.
At input, I type in "AT+SENDB=<confirn_status>,<Fport>,<data_len>,<data>" and nothing happens.
all I seem to get are timestamps and "<break>"

I've unplugged (since there is no reset button) and rebooted several times, ran updates, still no progress.

Hi, Notneeded

Your serial port Settings are wrong,
LA66 USB baud rate should be 9600, data bit is 8, stop bit is 1,
You can try connecting the LA66 USB to your computer to see if it works

Best Regards

Sorry it took so long to reply. Had to take some time off this project.
Anywho, hooked it up to my Mint 22 laptop and tried minicom again, turns out the reason it didn't do anything under Raspian is because it's a CLI program. Not easy to setup, so I installed CuteCom, which, while it connected to the LA66, it didn't allow me to input any commands.
Pluged it back in to my RPi 4 with CuteCom, changed the settings as you suggested and it appears to be working. Thank you.

My original plan was to set up TrackerD -> LA66 -> RPi 4 -> [Matrix] chat server to distribute TrakerD updates to interested parties in a timely manner. But I'm unsure of all the steps involved. I'll probably wait until my gateway gets here and try and use TTN for that.
