Unless your computer is in a secure space that is accessible ONLY BY YOU, you must run a screen saver that will automatically lock your screen after 15 minutes of inactivity and require a password to unlock it.

Okay, this has been going on since I've gotten my Asus G17 (G712LWS-WB74).
I'll have the lid open for a while and it'll go sleep mode or the screen will turn off, then randomly the screen turns right back on the lock screen. After a bit it'll turn off for a second, but then turn right back on. No notifications going on, no syncing apps in the system tray, turned off all display features of the lock screen, turned off screensaver, and many other settings messed with.

I just don't know what to try anymore. Feels like I've exhausted everything I could think of, disabling cortana in every way possible, and googling solution. Unfortunately, search engine's point to screens turning off, not back on. Help me out?

It seems that Gnome is the only DE that does not include a way to set suspend and screen lock on lid close. As picayune as this sounds, without screen lock and suspend, Gnome really is not useable for me. The rest of the DE is brilliant, however. Until this is addressed, I will likely stick with Cinnamon. Please offer this through an actual screensaver application. Is this because Gnome uses LightDM as opposed to Cinnamon using SDDM?

Please login to your Microsoft Account from another computer, Devices, select your device and click See detail, from Bitlocker data protection, select Manage recovery keys.

If you have done any hardware-level changes with your computer as mentioned below, I would suggest you to revert back the change, it will allow you to start your Windows. So that, you can turn off Bitlocker or you can take backup the key (If you want to keep Bitlocker):

No, screen pinning is designed to lock the entire app or screen, rather than specific areas within an app. It prevents users from switching to another app or accessing any other features on your device while the pinned app is active. If you need to restrict access to specific areas within an app, you may need to explore other options such as app-specific locks or parental control features.

When you exit a pinned app, either by pressing the Home or Back button, the screen will return to the lock screen or the screen you were on before pinning the app. To unlock the device or access other apps, you'll need to enter the PIN or pattern lock you set up for screen pinning.

Screen pinning works with most apps on your device, but there may be some exceptions. Some apps, especially those that require system-level access or overlays, may not be compatible with screen pinning. In such cases, you may not be able to pin those specific apps, or the app's functionality may be limited when pinned. However, most standard apps should work fine with screen pinning.

No, screen pinning is not designed to lock your device in a specific orientation. It only locks a specific app or screen and prevents switching to other apps. If you want to lock your device in landscape or portrait mode, you may need to look for dedicated apps solutions that offer this functionality.

No, screen pinning is designed to lock entire apps or screens, rather than specific websites or browser tabs. However, some browsers offer built-in features or extensions that allow you to restrict access to specific websites or limit browsing capabilities. You might want to explore these options if you need to restrict access to certain web content.

Screen pinning provides a basic level of security by preventing unauthorized access to other apps. However, it's important to note that it is not a foolproof method and may not be sufficient to protect sensitive information. For stronger data security, consider using additional measures such as strong device encryption, secure lockscreens, and app-specific security features.

No, screen pinning is typically disabled during phone calls or when media is playing. This is to ensure that you have easy access to call controls or media playback controls even when an app is pinned.

Yes, you can typically customize the PIN or pattern lock for screen pinning. This can be done through the device's security settings. By setting a unique PIN or pattern lock for screen pinning, you can ensure an additional layer of security for accessing pinned apps.

Yes, you can usually enable screen pinning for all apps on your device. This option can be found in the device's settings under the screen pinning or App pinning section. Enabling this option allows you to pin any app on your device rather than selecting individual apps to be pinned.

On devices that support multi-user functionality or have different user profiles, you can typically enable or disable Screen pinning on a per-user basis. This allows you to control which users can utilize the screen pinning feature.
