Greetings users!

Drafty has left Beta.

Version 1.0 is live.

In addition to some great new features we have done MAJOR tuning to the program under the hood. Not only is Drafty faster and more responsive but if you lose your internet connection you will be able to continue working. Any and all image assets currently in the drawing at the time of connectivity loss will be available for you to duplicate, mirror, or add new instance.

Moving into official production also means a change to our revision cycle. We will be releasing new versions every month complete with new features and bug fixes. So that monthly subscription really does buy you new tools every month. Smaller bug fixes may continue to be released on an as needed basis throughout the month.

While we have an internal roadmap for development we are most interested in responding to the needs of our users. If you see features that you feel are missing and would aid your drafting experience please use our Feedback forms or this forum to let us know.

As always our full featured free demo will remain full featured and free. Further, all subscriptions come with a 30 day free trial.

Thanks you so much for using Drafty.

Happy drafting!

Okay so I put money into this without playing around on the free trial for long enough. I started trying to use it and it was so buggy I literally couldn't make a simple light plot over a pdf. On both mac and windows. I can't find any way to unsubscribe or any information about my account.. I also can't really find any contact information for support. I haven't even been charged yet but would very much like my money back if the payment does go through.

Hello Jake,

I’m terribly sorry to hear you have had so much trouble. I’ve not encountered such issues on rather complex PDFs. I am curious if you would be willing to send your PDF along for testing to sup...@drafty-app.com or by using the Feedback button inside the app. FWIW, we have a revamp of our PDF handler coming in version 1.1 which ought to be released later this month.

We provide a free 30 day trial to all users so you have not yet been charged. To unsubscribe simply hold down the Option Key and the Log-Out button becomes an unsubscribe button.

Best,

Lucas Krech

Thank you. I will send the pdf in question. Basically any time I tried to delete something, it stayed there but then I couldn't click on it. If I tried to move something it would just glitch out and duplicate or do the same thing as deleting. I was on it for about 2 hours and I just could not get it stop bugging out on me. I eventually just got frustrated to the point that I just started the entire thing over on LXfree. Sorry about being rude on the forum. I just couldn't find an unsubscribe page on the website, and then couldn't find customer support information either.

No no, my apologies for your poor experience.

For the record I have not heard of a comparable story in terms of user experience. I would much rather have a known problem such that we can search for a solution than an unknown that may be turning people away. Any further details you may have to help us unt down the problem can be sent to sup...@drafty-app.com

Sometimes a simple browser refresh can help. Especially if the tab has been left open for a long period of time. Also, when starting a new project even after hitting the [New] button using the [Clear] function can wipe out anything lingering in memory. Clear is a Shift action on Delete and risky as it cannot be undone. It will wipe your drawing clean but also resolve any memory issues.

Given how our system is currently configured if you do choose to resubscribe you will be billed immediately. Should you choose to do so I will credit your account to ensure the full free trial peried for the following billing cycle and if you choose again to not stay on with the program can refund that money.

Thank you for your feedback.

And again my apologies for the less than optimal experience.
