Hi all,
A few bits of information:
Mali Drake is leading a weekend yoga retreat at the beach May 1-4th at the Trinity Center in Emerald Isle. See the link below to read all about it and register for the weekend.  Invite friends as well! It will be a relaxing get away with yoga that opens one into the flow of life.

Dr. Crystal Abernathy, ND will be leading a webinar on Vitamin D  Wednesday April 23rd at 8:00. Use the link below to listen in and learn about this very useful fat soluble vitamin.

Two more useful links to webinars below to listen to on your own time. Dr. Jennifer Ito, ND talks about ways to create healthy habits even if you are tired or depressed and feels like the last thing you want to do!. She gives 5 effective tools for getting started. A practical talk you might enjoy and find useful.

Dr. Maurice Werness, ND talks about Longevity Hot Spots and the types of foods consumed by people living the longest and enjoying a healthy lifestyle. A great addition to what you may already be doing to stay healthy in your own life.

And finally many of you may have heard the news recently that the tide is finally changing on saturated fats. In the March issue of Annals of Internal Medicine, saturated fats no longer seem to be implicated in the development of heart disease!! Healthy fats such as butter, cheese and whole milk are an excellent source of fats and fat soluble vitamins. Enjoy them regularly and avoid the trans fats found in cookies, crackers many prepared foods at the grocery. Trans fats should be eliminated in your diet as they seem to be source of inflammation contributing to heart disease, cancer, and other chronic diseases.

Yours in Health,
Susan
