Subject: [Dbworld] Benchmark datasets for data quality
To:
dbw...@cs.wisc.eduAPE-INV is a project funded by the European Science Foundation that aims at identifying inventions stemming from academic research.
One the objectives of the APE-INV project is to involve as many researchers as possible in a collective research effort aimed at producing a shared database of inventors’ names, surnames, and addresses, linked to PatStat, the Worldwide Patent Statistics database produce by the European Patent Office.
In order to compare the accuracy and efficiency of data quality algorithms (including but not limited to data standardization and entity resolution) APE-INV produces a number of PatStat-based benchmark databases, and invites all interested researchers to test their algorithms against them.
Results will be discussed in a series of “name game” workshops. For more information to the project please visit
