Dear Team,

It has been observed that the ratio of Sick Female New Born to Sick Male New Born who have been admitted into SNCUs is 37 % : 63 % over last few months. It is a matter of concern that sick female new born are missing from due care. State has issued a letter, attached herewith, to ensure the admission of female sick new born for facility based new born care at functional SNCU.

Since, we are also tracking weak new born for better survival, this letter will reinforce our program that sick female new born should be referred to SNCU and their admission should be ensured by care providers and front line workers. As partners of govt. we are expected to monitor these at both Community and Facility level. Please, go through the attached letter for more clarity.

Regards,

Prabir.
