Dear President, UMMA at Depaul,
On 31st Oct 2013, OPEN Chicago, organized its very first Startup Live Pitch Competition. The event was hosted at 1871’s famous location at the Merchandise Mart in Downtown Chicago. We had 11 business ventures apply, out of which 5 compelling companies were selected to present at the event.
We got an overwhelming response from Chicagoans! The event was attended by about 100 people from a diverse set of backgrounds. We would like to Thanks our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Khan, our Charter Members and our distinguished guests.

In our Leadership program series, we are organizing the workshop on Mindful Decision Making, taught by our president, Navaid Abidi: Spirituality & Behavioral Economics. The event is already SOLD OUT, 150 executive and entrepreneurs registered for the workshop.
