Sharing a meal is a powerful tool that can build communities, span cultural understanding, and bridge religious dialogue. DePaul University recognizes the importance of community and diversity through their Vincentian values. Since Muslim students at DePaul University are the largest non-Christian religious minority, it would serve the University’s Vincentian values by offering zabiha halal student dining options to include our Muslim brothers and sisters at the dinner table.
In a coordinated effort to make this goal a reality, we ask Muslim students at DePaul to take the survey below to poll the general interest of having zabiha halal student dining options. By having zabiha halal dining options, we would be advocating for sustainable consumption, methods of humane animal slaughter, and a more inclusive community at DePaul University.
