This coming Friday the 21st will be a screening and panel discussion on the new Ta'leef Collective documentary named 'Prison Blues' written and directed by Mustafa Davis. The documentary looks into the life experiences of former prisoners and depicts how their conversion to Islam transformed them. Usama Canon, founding director of Ta'leef', Ameenah Mathews, from The Interrupters, and Dr. Rami Nashashibi, founding director of IMAN, will be featured as well as other hosts and guest speakers.
