road bike tour of Japan 11-24 May 2019

Hi Everyone,
There are a few of us keen to ride our bikes in Japan next year and will organise a trip if we get enough people to confirm.
The dates will be 11th to 24th May - fly out on the evening of Friday 10th May and fly home on Saturday 25th May.
The fully supported road bike tour will start in Tokyo and finish in Hiroshima. We will visit Mt Fuji, the cities of Osaka, Kobi and Nagoya, a rest day amidst the UNESCO sites of Kyoto, ride on the incredible Shimanami bike route crossing a series of islands on very high bridges, stay in some dedicated bicycle hotels and finish in Hiroshima to see the atomic blast dome and the peace park. Our bikes will be driven back to Tokyo and we will come back on the bullet train.
The costs will be around £2000 for a shared room and about £2400 for a single room - Japan is more expensive!
I'm looking for interest at the moment in order to book hotels, our support vehicle and driver and if we have enough people, our own dedicated guide. The trip will be organised through Pedal Travel (www.pedaltravel.com)
in order to ensure we have the correct level of cover.
