Gentlemen, the ‘man in the orange suit’ is back. Yes, this week we get to hear what God is doing in and through Matthew Ridenour.
Many of us have gotten to know Matthew much better through NCS and we are grateful for his friendship and his heart for service. Matthew continuously looks for ways to blend ministry, business, creativity and... let's be honest... FUN! He is currently pursuing each of these as a 2nd year MBA in Design Strategy student at CCA, the youth director for City Church SF's mission site student program, and DJing weddings as "DJ RIDENPOP". He is VERY excited to begin an internship this summer with IDEO focusing on business development & strategy for their Social Innovation platform.
Matthew cares deeply for the gospel taking root in the lives of young people in San Francisco and LOVES the opportunity to share with them about Jesus. He also cares deeply for social justice and missions in the developing world, participating in mission trips to Kenya, Nepal, and Mexico. He leads a Beatles Choir that sings and brings God's Joy and presence to the residents of Laguna Honda Hospital every month. He also started a yearly men's fellowship weekend ski trip called "Yeekend" that just celebrated its 5th year with 45 guys driving to Whistler B.C. in a chartered bus.
Matthew lives in SF's uber hip mission district with his FAR better half, the delightful Abbie, Vice Principal of Everest High School (a public charter school in Redwood city).
We hope to see many of you on Thursday to hear more of Matt’s story.
