Hi all

A few updates on dpHibernate -

  • 2.0-RC3 is available for download  Note that 2.0 has lots of bug fixes over the 1.x branch, but also has many breaking changes, so be sure to read the "Changes Planned" section on the wiki for upgrading tips.  Please check it out, and provide feedback.
  • A new Spring/Lazy loading example is available.  It's a trimmed down version of the LazyOverflow demo which shows only lazy loading.  Also, this demo does not use Parsley, like LazyOverflow does.  Parsley is not required for dpHibernate, and many found that it confused the points LazyOverflow was trying to get across, so I removed it.  This demo is built on 2.x.  Also, if you haven't had a look at LazyOverflow, which demonstrates all the entity persistence features (CRUD) in dpHibernate, check it out.
  • A new article is up on DZone that talks through getting dpHibernate 2.x set up & running with Spring.
Regards

This project is maturing to the point where I think that it makes sense to describe it as 'leading edge' instead of 'bleeding edge'.  Breaking changes from 1.x to 2.x are not a problem.  The simple example project is one key reason for the status change.  Simple examples are good, without non-essential dependencies, so long as they demonstrate common use cases.  That said, how about a similar example that does not involve Spring either?
