Are Direct contracting providers eligible for getting claims data via this program?

Hello All,

I know Data at the Point of Care(DPC) is for all Fee for Service providers whether its Primary care providers, Specialist or Care managers. But not sure if these providers are part of Direct contracting will they be eligible for getting claims data back via DPC initiative.

Hi Aditi!

Thanks for your patience. DPC registration and use is not connected to Direct Contracting. The current criteria for using DPC is to be a provider with a Medicare Fee For Service Type 1 NPI in good standing. As a Direct Contracting Model participant, you may want to explore BCDA at https://bcda.cms.gov/.
