Good Morning,

I wanted to ask a question because it was not fully answered through he site and documents.

How will the DPC setup work for a 3rd party that will be authorized by the healthcare providers to pull information on their behalf.

Example if we have a company that is contracted via BAA to pull the information on behalf of their customers would they be able to pull eligibility, claims status etc. for their providers and display this data to them in the 3rd parties web portal?

If so how would the setup work for enrolling the 3rd party, how would the setup work on the providers end to register the 3rd party etc?

Thank you,

Hello,

Thank you for your question.

Typically, provider organizations will opt to engage third parties for API implementation in their chosen platform. The example you provided is an approach similar to those taken by organizations using the DPC API today.

We recommend reviewing the Terms of Service documentation on our website to ensure that the DPC implementation is aligned with our policies. Note: The "Data Rights & Usage" section provides specifications on how data provided by the DPC API must be used.

Please let us know if you have further questions and we will be happy to assist!

Best,

The DPC API Team

That sounds like ti will work with our goals.

Is there a timeline and guide to onboarding and getting set up with production credentials?

Thank you,

Hello Luke,

Thanks so much for your question about the status of DPC onboarding! We've paused on fulfilling requests for production access while we improve the onboarding experience. We don't have a specific date to share yet for onboarding to resume. We’ll continue to provide updates in the Google Group and the updates page on our website. Again, thank you for reaching out. We hope our continued updates in the group and on our website will be useful to you. If you have additional questions you can contact us directly any time.

Any updates on accepting new applications for DCI API or new information on DPC API Program or other ways to get involved in API innovation projects?

Hi April,

Thank you so much for your question about the status of DPC onboarding. We're still pausing requests for production access while we build and test a new digital onboarding experience.

We don't have a specific date for when onboarding will resume yet, but updates will be posted in the Google Group and on the updates page of our website as soon as we have more information.

You’ll also receive an email with a request to share details about the requesting organization(s), so we can follow up directly when onboarding resumes.

Again, thank you for reaching out. If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us directly at any time.

Best,

The DPC API Team
