We're running into an issue where we successfully register a member to our org with their MBI but when we bulk export their practitioners data that member comes back with a different MBI. Even looking at the historical MBI's the original MBI we sent is not present. Is there matching on something (maybe name+dob+zip etc) other than MBI occurring on the backend? This is a fairly rare issue but has occurred over 100 times.

On that subject I would be interested in hearing feedback from this group on the matching best practices in this HL7 IG (not yet published but referenced in the ISA):
