Hello All,

We are looking into the DPC solution as a potentially helpful means to help our providers understand their patients compliance with medications, ie. if they are having their medications dispensed and what those medications are, following up with referrals, etc.

I had seen some threads a few years ago that touched on this, but nothing recently.

Thanks in advance!
Russ

Hi Russ,

Thanks for your question! The Data at the Point of Care (DPC) API pilot provides data for Medicare Fee-For-Service (FFS) Part A (Hospital Insurance), Part B (Medical Insurance), and Part D (Drug coverage) claims — so yes, the medication and referral information you’re looking for is part of the DPC dataset as long as the claim is submitted to Medicare FFS.

We look forward to seeing the solution you build with DPC data. In the meantime, please review our Documentation and FAQ as you may find additional answers there.

Best,

The DPC Team
