Dear colleagues,
We would like to invite Kazakhstan EITI team to the upcoming webinar on preventing corruption in energy transition mineral supply chains that
will be held on 16 March at 9 p.m. Astana time.
The global fight against climate change relies on our ability to scale up low-carbon infrastructure, yet corruption in mineral supply chains risks derailing a just energy transition. Experts have issued an urgent call to tackle this pressing issue. The Expert Group on Preventing Corruption in Transition Minerals, which brings together perspectives from civil society, governments, academia and international organizations, has developed a set of key recommendations to tackle corruption in mineral supply chains. This webinar will set out these recommendations and explain why action is needed, bringing in perspectives from mineral-producing countries and time for a Q&A with panelists.

Feel free to distribute this invitation to other interested participants.
Kind regards,
Olesia
