Hi Fellow Doylers!

This is Hillary Chang, and I wanted to reach out to everyone again to give you all a bit of an update regarding my clothing initiative for the girls and women of Uganda. I know many of you so generously contributed donations of money and suitcases for our first batch of clothing to be sent over to Uganda, so thank you all so much once again for helping me!

The employees at Hands of Love went to Uganda on November 6, and returned a few weeks later. They were able to pass out every piece of clothing I packed in the suitcases you all provided, which was amazing to hear! They were even able to locate the young girl my family sponsors, named Beth, to give her a special outfit directly from me. We received some pictures from Laura Brady at Hands of Love during her trip, which I will attach below.

As I was packing up the four suitcases to be sent to travel with the Hands of Love employees back in October and November, I realized that we had some more clothing items that could not fit in those four bags. We are planning to send those clothes out to those employees before Christmas, so that whenever anyone at Hands of Love travels to Uganda again soon, they can take those suitcases with them. I wanted to ask again if anyone has any more unneeded LARGE suitcases that you would be willing to donate (we probably only need one or two LARGE ones at this time) so that we can get those last few clothing items to Uganda whenever possible. If you have any unwanted LARGE suitcases and would not mind donating them for my cause, please email me at hillar...@gmail.com!

Again, I can’t thank you all enough for your support of this project, and I am hoping to get even more clothing bags out to Uganda in the coming months when I can get more resources! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and stay warm!
