Camera that I use is a Nikon D80. I only need the plug-in so I can copy it in the Plug-in files from my photoshop, if anyone can help me with that plug-in I'll thank him soooo much, he will be my life saviour.
OTOH if this is legit, it's as Dave said. You need to install the ACR plugin, that's it - that's all you need and nothing else. It comes as its own installer and there's no need for you to go into any plugins folder.
I was just wondering if it is possible to make photoshop cs2 portable. I found some info on the web and I even try making photoshop portable, it worked, but for some reason the commands from the keyboard don't work. for example crtl-x or crtl-z. So if anyone can help me on what I am doing wrong, I would be really thankful.
if you just try to copy the program files to a USB drive [which i've tried to save time after a reinstall], its failed due to registration, and how it activates. its worth a try, but i dont see it as working very well unless its USB2.0
Now we will copy our photoshop from the programs folder and put it on your flash drive, we will now navigate to where our photoshop exe file is located on your flash drive and paste our two registry keys.
Looks like Adobe is another company I will never buy anything from - like I will never buy anything from the Sony Media division. The problem is not merly the specific instance, the problem is a company which exhibits such total disregard for its customers. How can you then trust that they will not do something even worse in the future!
Hi, when I try running the .bat file to launch Photoshop, the computer returns an error message because I am logged in as a regular user, and it is necessary to be logged in as an admin in Windows to add registration data to the registry. I don't have admin access to this computer. What to do? Thanks.
For the past couple of months I've been getting this error: "this is not a valid Portable Document File (PDF) document. It cannot be opened." error when I'm NOT trying to open anything. I'd say it's happened maybe 10 times over the last couple of months and 9 of those times, it's happened when I'm waking the computer from sleep. I can't seem to figure out any pattern to it. It's like it's trying to open a file on it's own but it doesn't show in the recent list and I'm not seeing any action that could be doing this.
Meant to answer you a LONG time ago and never did! I've tried removing preferences and have cleared all my caches. Even had an upgrade to photoshop in there. Nothing seems to work. Still happens randomly without anything specific happing to preclude it.
Photoshop in the background... with a single png file open (a tiny screenshot of a single layer)... working in other apps (Sketch, Slack, Chrome), and randomly get the "This is not a valid Portable Document File (PDF) document. It cannot be opened." alert, with an "OK" to dismiss.
Has happened to me several times as well. Just happened again. I was actually typing in Chrome, and Photoshop suddenly threw itself into the foreground with the "this is not a valid Portable Document File (PDF) document. It cannot be opened" message. Very suspicious that Photoshop seems to be trying to open a PDF on its own. Is this a security error?
How about this: could it be related to clipboard handling? I know that at least on a Mac, the Adobe inter-app clipboard format is (or at least can be set to be) PDF. And this format conversion can happen as a background task, presumably. So one scenario could be that as I'm working away in another app, I've copied something that includes data that PS doesn't like for whatever reason, or thinks it should be able to convert to PDF but can't.
If assessing the contents of the clipboard IS a standard background task for PS, that would theoretically explain the startling behavior of PS jumping in front of my active app and declaring a phantom PDF to be invalid. If so, then perhaps Adobe should just supress the error until I try to paste into PS and not ... jump up in my face and freak me the heck out.
To answer the 2 questions, We have Acrobat Pro as the default to open PDF's and yes, it only happens whilst Photoshop is running, it doesn't start Photoshop. it also only happens while Photoshop is idle.
From what I can gather from file snooping - it appears to be related to temporary files which photoshop creates. This is possibly with relation to the clipboard or a PDF formatted file that PS makes in the background. (Adobe uses PDF for all sorts of functions inside their apps from the UI to interoperability.)
I do think it's an issue with Photoshop - and not outside photoshop. Photoshop is not my default app to open pdfs - Adobe Acrobat is. And this only happens when Photoshop is running. Weirdly, it's happened a lot when my machine is "sleeping". When I come to my computer for the day and wake it up - I often see the error box there.
Just adding to say I'm having the same problem, and it also freaks me out a little regarding security. Often happens when I wake my computer from sleep. Photoshop is open in background, with a psd open or some other image file, but never a PDF.
Same here. I used to have CS6, and recently upgraded to CC. Ever since I started using Photoshop CC I get this error randomly. It'll pop up during the night and I see it in the morning, or it'll just pop up randomly even if I'm on my computer and using Photoshop.

The ProArt Dial is a fully customizable shortcut dial that can be used for editing functions as well as system-related adjustments. This physical dial rests on the upper left corner of the trackpad and is embedded into the bottom frame making it non-obstructive to closing the laptop. The dial simply has to be rotated to scroll through selections and manipulate sliders and pressed once to select specific functions. The ProArt Dial can be customized to include functions from a wide selection of compatible editing apps and is particularly optimized for Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere. Customizing the functions is done through the Asus ProArt Creator hub that gives full access to the functions of the dial and other custom buttons available on the keyboard.
Alongside the dial is a relatively larger-than-usual touchpad. While it seemingly looks like a regular function touchpad, it does have some unique features. For one, it has an additional button that can be customized for extra functions. On top of that, this touchpad actually doubles as a portable graphic pen tablet. With a sensitivity of 1024 pressure levels, the touchpad is compatible with various versions of the ASUS pen. This pen function can be quite useful in making local adjustments and retouching photos when the photographer is outside of usual office or studio environments. While the size of this built-in tablet is not equivalent to the function and ergonomics of a full-sized graphic tablet, having it on-the-go can be beneficial.
The additional creative functions on the touchpad and dial definitely offer a lot of benefits to the workflow of photographers and other creatives, especially when working on location. With the available extra space on the surface of the laptop, it might be a good idea to add a few more customizable buttons alongside the dial. While the pen compatibility is definitely a huge advantage, it would have also been great if a storage slot for the pen was put on one side or at the bottom of the laptop.
