After learning of a maniac on the loose, Matt and Emily travel to the cable car station to get help but discover that the keys are missing. The couple then locates a radio tower and call the mountain rangers for help, who inform them that assistance won't arrive until dawn at the earliest. An unknown creature tries and fails to enter the tower and then causes the structure to collapse by cutting one of its cables, sending it toppling into the mines. In the chaos that follows, Matt discovers Emily in peril on the destroyed fire tower and is forced between trying to save her life or jumping to safety to save his own. Regardless of his decisions, Emily falls with the collapsing tower deeper into the mines. Matt either escapes and also ventures deeper into the mines, or will be killed by the creature.

As the friends uncover clues about the past, the Stranger confronts the main group at the lodge and explains to them that he is a protector of the mountain, which is infested with tall humanoid creatures called wendigos. They were created when caved-in miners engaged in cannibalism in order to survive. The Stranger explains that they will not be able to escape to safety until dawn, which is when the Wendigos cease their hunt, and there are only a few ways to kill Wendigos, such as by fire. Chris and the Stranger decide to rescue Josh, but discover that he has vanished; the Stranger is decapitated by the Wendigo soon after. Chris either makes it back to the lodge or is killed by the Wendigo before making it back inside. Sam, Mike, Ashley, and the remaining survivors flee to the lodge basement for safety.

If Matt and Jess are still alive at this point, they have separate encounters with the Wendigos in the mines and attempt to evade them and reach rescue. Meanwhile, Sam, Mike, and whoever is alive between Ashley, Chris, and Emily, regroup at the lodge only to find it overrun with Wendigos, including Hannah. The creatures, which are now fighting amongst themselves, cause a gas leak; the survivors ignited the gas with an electrical spark. This causes an explosion that destroys the lodge, kills all of the Wendigos (including Hannah), and can result in the deaths of all the remaining survivors, including Mike and/or Sam. Outside, at dawn, rescue helicopters arrive to take the survivors away if any of them survived.

I honestly feel like i never had good makeup until this. Drag secret is hairspray, but it would break me out or get sticky, this is that times a 100 without the sticky or breakouts. Please never stop making this, because then I'd just be ugly again. Ha Ha! jk, I could never be ugly. LOL Anyway 10 outa 10 reccomend.

It would be something like "the baby was born at midnight, she cried until (the) dawn".I believe the more natural way of saying that would be without the "the", just "she cried until dawn", but I want to know if it would be icorrect, if desired, to say "she cried until the dawn". Also whether or not "until next dawn" sound weird in that context.

It depends on what you mean by incorrect. If you mean is that structure of words a grammatically correct sentence in English, then, yes, it is. If you mean is that what any native speaker would ever say, then it has to be 'until dawn', as you believe, unless the poor child cried until dawn the next day, in which case you would need to specify which dawn you are talking about.

As the player, your task is to guide the eight main characters through their night of terror until the titular deadline arrives. Broken into ten chapters, each of which contains multiple scenes and puts you in control of different characters, the story alters and changes depending on what you do.

Until Dawn is very good at hiding the rails and strings that keep the plot together, with the impact of many choices kept opaque until hindsight makes them clear. Every character can die, it seems, and it's only once you reach the end credits and look back over the "Butterfly Effect" chart which documents your crucial decisions and their eventual payoff, that you appreciate how many routes there are to the ending.

The obvious reason to feel sorry for Josh is that Beth and Hannah went missing a year ago. It's pretty obvious they're dead, since they were never found, but we can't imagine the lack of closure coupled with the loss of both sisters at once. Josh was asleep when they went missing, so never had the chance to look for them until the morning (presumably), so there may also be some guilt there.

His friends were undoubtedly cruel to his sisters. They invited Hannah to a bedroom until the pretence of her hooking up with Mike, the most stereotypically good-looking and "jock"-ish guy in the teenage group. They all hid under a bed to watch this happen, and it was revealed to be a big joke. All of this happened while Josh was asleep and Hannah ran from the cabin, humiliated, chased down by Beth who was very angry at their friends. They were never seen again, and we see in a game that they toppled off a cliff after being chased by a mystery monster.

These Dublin dwellers were pretty damn cool and relaxed about the whole affair. They wanted a map to include their beloved doggie, Malahide castle where the got engaged and a map of Faro where they will party till dawn.

The Stranger hands Emily a pack of flares and tells her to get out of the mines. Soon afterwards, he manages to escape the mines and heads to the lodge. After entering through the front door and disarming either Chris or Mike of a gun, he orders the remaining survivors to listen to what he has to say. He explains that the mountain is cursed, and anyone who succumbs to cannibalism will unleash the spirit of the Wendigo and transform into one. He tells them to find somewhere safe to wait until dawn. This prompts Mike to remember that he left Josh tied up in the shed. The Stranger tells them that Josh will already be dead, but Chris insists on going after him. The Stranger tells Chris that going alone outside is suicide and offers to come with him.[1]The Stranger conversing with Chris. The Stranger and Chris walk to the shed and find that Josh has already been taken away by the Wendigo. As the Stranger warns Chris to get back to the lodge immediately, he discovers that a Wendigo has tracked them. At first, the Stranger tells Chris to stand still. Regardless whether Chris moves or not, the Wendigo notices both of them. The Stranger tries to burn the Wendigo but it dodges the attack. Knowing they are out in the open, the Stranger frantically tells Chris they must get out of here. Before the Stranger could act, the Wendigo decapitates him.[2]The Stranger's death.Back at the lodge, the survivors find the Stranger's belongings. Among them is a map of Blackwood Pines and a journal detailing his experiences with the Wendigo. The journal tells the survivors that the Wendigo can only see people when they move, the only sure way to kill them is with fire, they can imitate people's voices, their bites are not infectious, and that whenever possible, they should be captured, not killed.

Sam and Mike find the Stranger's body hanging from the cavern ceiling on their way to find Josh. If Josh survives until dawn, he will become trapped in the mines and eat the Stranger's decapitated head, for survival purposes.

As the friends uncover clues about the past, a resident who had been stalking the group, subtitled as The Stranger and referred to by the characters as "Flamethrower Guy," reveals himself to the group as not the Psycho or Mystery Man, but a protector of the mountain. He explains that the mountain is infested by Wendigos, former humans who were possessed by evil spirits after consuming human flesh, and that they will not be able to escape to safety until dawn, which is when the Wendigos cease their hunt. Chis and The Stranger decide to rescue Josh, but discover that he has vanished; The Stranger is decapitated by the Wendigo soon after. Sam, Mike, Ashley and the remaining survivors flee to the lodge basement for safety.

If Matt and Jess are still alive at this point, they have separate encounters with the Wendigos in the mines and attempt to evade them and reach rescue. Meanwhile, Sam, Mike, and whoever is alive between Ashley, Chris, and Emily, flee from the Wendigos to the lodge only to encounter Hannah and multiple other Wendigos. The Wendigos begin to fight each other, resulting in gas being released from the furnace into the lodge. The group uses the gas leak to destroy the lodge, killing all of the Wendigos and any survivors still inside just as dawn breaks and rescue helicopters arrive.

Recognized by their emaciated physiques, spider-like limbs and tattered pale skin, the Wendigo are rarely seen until they decide to pounce. Capable of incredible bursts of speed, they are able to keep pace and even outpace their opponents seemingly without tiring, their motion-sensitive vision allowing them to home in on fleeing prey. Despite their frail appearance, Wendigo demonstrate impressive physical strength and resilience, proving tough enough to withstand a high-caliber rifle shot to the skull, and strong enough to crush a human skull with their bare hands. They seem to favor brutal, deliberate methods of killing their prey, such as impaling them on hooks, gouging out their eyes or even tearing their jaws off - indicating that Wendigo are more sadistic than simple animalistic killers.

Throughout the first half of the twentieth century, mining efforts on the mountain continued unopposed until 1952, when a long-neglected structural weakness led to a cave-in and trapped several miners inside. With no food available and no chance of rescue arriving within the next three weeks, they were forced to resort to cannibalism, murdering their companions and eating their flesh raw; of the thirty men trapped by the cave-in, only twelve emerged.

Shortly afterwards, if Jessica or Matt or both have survived, they will find themselves at the bottom of the mine shaft. Though injured and confused by the events of the last few hours, they are able to continue through the mine until Hannah arrives to continue the hunt: attempting to run will mean instant death for Jessica, and possibly for Matt if the button prompts are not enacted in time. However, if the player can remain still, Jessica and Matt will survive the night.
