On Tuesday at Microsoft Ignite, the company announced that Power Automate Desktop is now available at no additional cost, allowing Windows 10 users to harness the power of low-code robotic process automation (RPA). The technology is available as a download and will be included in Windows Insider Preview builds in the coming weeks.

Today, we are continuing this momentum by announcing that desktop automation in Power Automate Desktop will be available to Windows 10 users at no additional cost. Windows 10 users can harness the power of low-code RPA by downloading Power Automate Desktop on March 2, and it will be included in Windows Insider Preview builds in the coming weeks.

Keep reading to learn how this user-friendly, low-code application empowers coders and non-coders alike to optimize their workflows by automating repetitive and time-consuming manual tasks in Windows 10.

By bringing RPA to Windows 10 users, everyone across an organization can collectively focus on work that makes a difference for the bottom line. Start your desktop automation journey today by downloading the Power Automate Desktop app.

Hello, I would like to build a little home office island in my very remote garden (no access to electricity) over the summer. Unfortunately my job requires some render power and therefore more energy than usual. My pc takes around 300-500W from the wall when running. Is there are realistic scenario where I could cover that energy consumption via solar power?

Now when I upload it to power BI web to my workspace it still displays everything but instead of giving me difference size fields it just shows a dark dot on the zip codes. Any idea on why this is happening?

Also if I directly interact with my ArcGis map in power BI online (removing the variable from the size field and put it back in the size field of the data pane) it also works...and I cannot really detect the issue.

Please try to clear cache on your browser based on what browser you are using and desktop(as @LeslieUK mentioned) and make sure you are using the latest Power BI desktop(Version: 2.119.870.0 64-bit (July 2023)) and ArcGIS for Power BI(2023.2.187) version.

However I noticed I had some language inconsistencies with English in Desktop and German being used in the web. I changed the language to German on desktop, republished and taaada...it now works perfectly fine.

so I have my room setup to run off a dc battery, and the battery itself is charged via a solar panel. I currently use an inverter to power my pc setup but I would love to know if I can eliminate the inverter entirely and run directly off of the battery or dc power alone and if so how.thanks

Since the Molex power connector is rated at 6 amps per circuit, with20-pin part you should not draw more than 12A from 3.3V, 24A from +5Vand 6A from +12V (note that pin 11 is often used for 3.3V remotesense). The 4-pin 12V2 connector P4 is rated 8A/pin, so you canadditionally draw up to 16A on +12V. A simple math shows that with20-pin main and 4-pin 12V2 aux connectors your maximum power could be355 wattfrom -to-24pin-atx.html

The main problem is supplying enough current on each rail for a total power output. Those DC supplies top out at 250W and the fact that they don't easily give you a cost suggests that they are more expensive than conventional AC/DC supplies.

Yes, you absolutely can run off of DC power. Google DC-DC ATX power supply units. Here is an example. DC power supply units are not common, but are often used with computers connected directly to battery backups and areas where connection to the AC power grid is not available, such as boats. You just have to make sure your DC supply is capable of supplying the necessary voltage and amperage.

Most people will never see these. But they are common in military and naval operations, where there is no AC power available. You will also see this for in television and radio broadcasting, but it is not as common and is being phased out.

If I open the application directly from the desktop, the pop-up window appears as usual, and I can log in to my account without any problems. However, when accessing the application through Citrix, this window does not appear. Upon clicking 'Sign In', it briefly opens and then immediately closes/disappears, making it impossible to log in.

Note that I use a Desktop and the Powertop, Powerstat, and Power Statistics programs referenceed here only work for laptops. The answer suggests that for desktop the only solution "then" is to use a electronic watt-meter. Has the situation changed in last 2 years?

We have created a terminal tool to monitor CPU frequency/utilization/Temperature. It now also supports monitoring power on Intel CPUs newer than Sandy-Bridge.
You can see the power graph in watts on the bottom as well as on the side bar.
This only reads total CPU power, not per process and not including other components.

The power cable, AC adapter cable, and power cables may get frayed or cut, and wires may become exposed at either end of the cables. This may be due to the way the cable is wrapped around the AC adapter, or if the cable is subject to undue stress. If the damage is severe enough to expose wires, you should discontinue using the power cable or AC adapter. To check the power cable, AC adapter, cables, and the power port on the desktop or all-in-one for any damages:

Verify that the voltage selection turn on the power supply unit is set to the correct voltage based on your current location. The power supply unit (PSU) of certain Dell desktops allow you to change the voltage from 110 V to 220 V depending on your current location.

For example, the standard voltage that is supported in the United States is 110 V and 230 V to 240 V in the United Kingdom. Ensure that the toggle turn on the power supply unit (PSU) is set to either 110 V or 220 V based on your current location.

Dell Inspiron, XPS, OptiPlex, Precision, and Vostro desktop computers include a power supply with an integrated self-test (BIST) feature that helps diagnose the health of the power supply unit. The LED indicator on the PSU helps identify if the power issue is caused by the power supply unit.

My team is in the process of testing power pack for deployment to receptionist and is having issues. It seems that it shows up for some users as an option but not for others that have the same exact settings (including call queues, delegation, calling plan, etc.) Are we missing something obvious?

Also, in the Zoom app's General Settings, there is a section called Zoom Assistant. If the "Phone" checkbox is disabled, then the Power Pack will not be enabled regardless of the setting in the user's web portal settings. I believe this is because a similar feature to the power pack now exists for interacting with meetings.

The following troubleshooting steps are only applicable if your computer doesn't display anything upon booting, but the power indicator is lit. If you have performed any of the following steps prior to encountering this issue, please refer to the instructions below

If you have performed any of the above three operations, your computer will need to undergo a complete memory training during the next boot-up.
During the memory training process, your computer will not display anything, and the training duration is approximately 1-3 minutes, depending on the size of your computer's memory.
During this period, please ensure that your computer is connected to the power source and refrain from forcefully shutting it down, allowing the computer to complete the memory training and wait for the display to appear.

Screen 1: If you encounter the following screen, it indicates a failed BIOS update. Please wait for 60 seconds or click 'Yes' on the screen to initiate an automatic BIOS update. (Ensure that your computer is connected to the power source)

Screen 3: If you are experiencing a black screen after booting (power indicator is lit, but no text is displayed), due to a failed BIOS update, you can try performing a CMOS clear to resolve the issue:

Note: The different computer models may have varying power indicator light behavior. For detailed information, please consult the user manual specific to your computer model. You can refer to this article to learn How to search for and download the user manual.

Kindly verify that the power cord, adapter, extension cord, and wall socket connected to the computer are securely and properly plugged in. If an extension cord is being utilized, ensure that its switch is in the open position.

The presence of illumination in the power indicator light signifies that the motherboard is receiving power. However, it is possible that certain devices are causing the inability to boot. Please follow the applicable troubleshooting methods based on the computer product you are using:

If you can see the Windows welcome screen during boot but the screen goes black after entering the desktop, it may be a problem caused by the graphics card driver. It is recommended to enter Safe Mode, and you can refer to this article for instructions on how to enter Safe Mode: How to enter Safe Mode when unable to enter the system.
