If disabling Wi-Fi on the phone helped, then the phone is the main suspect. And indeed, interference between Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (both using the 2.4 GHz band) are quite common. Very often we hear about this kind of problems especially at certain Samsung models, although other brands may be also concerned.
Thanks for those references. It was a new experience for me, I used the same Samsung phone for some 10 years with Fenix models old and new, without issues like this. Maybe the recently purchased mobile dataplan changed something. (BTW I am aware using old tech can have security risks).
I see the same thing! My waypoints are showing on the initial/staring mobile view (Android) but not the route. When I switch to desktop, then the route appears but it's clunky and the initial sidebar blocks the map which creates a second confusing set of instructions for viewers.
Add one more to the list for tripping on this issue. My shared course clearly shows on the desktop version of MapShare, but my mobile phone (android) defaults to a mobile version of MapShare and does not show the course. If I force it to switch to the desktop version, the course is there.
Hello, this is working as intended for the mobile version. As a workaround, customers can toggle the browser on their mobile device to Desktop Mode which should allow the routes to display in addition to tracks.
in Chrome and Firefox ... On my Android ... both mobile and desktop mode is not showing my tracks... I have not tried to show routes .. like its only currently showing a blue dot on current location... but in Desktop I can see the collection of tracks that I have shared .. properly .. I cannot reconcile this even using desktop mode on multiple devices.

The new timeout feature is a global setting in the App settings rather than the JSON. It defaults to zero (disabled), so you should be able to amend it from there.
192.168.1.145 is a private LAN IP address not accessible from the public Internet. This means it will only work on your private LAN. If you want this URL to work from anywhere, you need to setup your Home Assistant to be operable publically and supply the correct public domain name or IP address. Are you using mobile data to access this URL? Try you local LAN Wi-Fi instead.
This URL should be publically accesible now, and no API key is required to access the menu definition as it is not served by the HomeAssistant API, the URL can in fact be anywhere on the Internet. But it is most convenient to have it all served by the Home Assistant web server (outside the HA API). When I click that link I get an HTTP response code:
Then you might have a chance of an external HTTPS request reaching your HomeAssistant. But your setup might still have a web proxy, e.g. converting HTTPS to HTTP internally in your network before the HomeAssistant webserver. You need to follow this through and see where the HTTP GET request for the menu configuration is getting lost.
Much of this is more about how to manage TCP/IP on your LAN rather than the actual Garmin application, and there are better thought out tutorials on forwarding web requests from public to private networks already on the Internet than my potted explanation here.
I recorded a cycle today on my Garmin which sync'd to Strava, but it's not showing up on the mobile app. The app registers that I did an activity, but there's nothing in the feed or activities. When I log on to the Desktop version it shows the activity in My Activies but not in my feed. I've noticed that the elapsed time is 11457hrs (legs are sore after that!!), could this be causing the problem? I deleted the activity and uploaded the gpx from my Garmin and it's still the same. I've logged out of the app and Desktop version, logged back in. I recorded another activity and it seemed to come up fine.
I have a similar problem with an activity showing on the web version of Strava on my laptop but not appearing on the app on my mobile phone. I did have a problem half way through the ride when my Garmin kept losing satallite connections and the mileage recorded is more than it should be. Is there any way this can be fixed so that it will appear in feeds on the mobile app. It's very frustrating as this is a ride I'm very proud of and would like to share. Thanks, Simon
I tried your suggestion. I downloaded the GPX file opened in Notepad and found there were many instances where the date was 2025-05-26 as opposed to 2024-02-05. I carried out find and replace all instances of this and saved as GPX, uploaded and everything is perfect.
The Garmin Nvifone is a discontinued line of Internet-enabled mobile phone and personal navigation devices manufactured by a partnership between Garmin and Asus. It makes use of a touchscreen with virtual keyboards and buttons.
Nvifone is a 3G hybrid handset that can be docked into a vehicle mount. Once snapped onto the vehicle mount, it can automatically enable the embedded GPS navigation and simultaneously enable hands-free calls. It is featured with a geotagging built-in camera that can help recipients of the geocoded photograph trace to where the photos were taken.[2]
The Nvifone product was announced on January 30, 2008 and only a prototype (presumably not fully functional) was available at the time. The PrePass app gives carriers the option to expand bypass opportunities using tablet or mobile phone devices, and may be used with a PrePass transponder. The PrePass weigh station bypass app provides expanded coverage to enforcement locations without a transponder reader and mobile sites. It also provides expanded functionality including PrePass ALERTS. The application is available on Apple iOS, Android, and select telematics and ELD devices. If you have a transponder, then the PrePass app will default to the transponder message when PrePass transponder infrastructure is present at the weigh station.
Depending on where you operate, the PrePass app will expand bypassing opportunities to weigh stations that are not currently equipped with PrePass transponder technology. The PrePass App enables drivers to verify the safety, credentials, and weight of a commercial vehicle with upcoming weigh stations. You can pair your dezl OTR device with the Garmin Drive App and the PrePass App to receive upcoming weigh station notifications on your dezl OTR device.
The PrePass app and Garmin are different products, however the two companies collaborated to provide PrePass notifications on Garmin dēzl device models. Motor carriers download the PrePass app and Garmin Drive App to their mobile device (smartphone).
In addition, to weigh station bypass notifications, the PrePass app provides ALERTS, including work zones, traffic incidents, congestion, dangerous slowdowns, weather, truck parking, rest areas, gusty wind areas, steep grades, brake check areas, chain-up areas, runaway truck ramps, and no commercial vehicle roads.
Speaking of which, in case you somehow dismiss the beta invite in the app, the Beta App toggle is otherwise in the app under: More > Settings > Beta Program > On/Off (you can leave/join as much as you want, once your account has been activated).
Thus, this revamp is clearly aimed at that criticism, and trying to make it simpler and more clear on your home page, as well as offering what are effectively quick-links to a deeper look at those particular data bits (e.g., Training Status or Stress). Meaning previously, to access some of that data, you had to fumble around more places, or the whole thing was simply overwhelming on the dashboard.
I would kill for them to have the website-based activity customization options that Movescount/Suunto had 8 years ago. The ability to create & customize screens for an activity without using the watch directly is so nice, and trying to do it in the Connect app (for me anyway) has always been a nightmare of pressing buttons & the app ignoring them because the Bluetooth connection to the device blipped.
