Payal Saraf's Bulldog Pumba is jumping on everyone who comes in the house, and has begun growling and snapping when corrected or restrained. Payal, being new to clicker training, asks for ideas on how to handle this and change Pumba's behavior.
Payal, here's a "clicker solution" which can be a "quick fix", and if you are consistent, the jumping behaviors should change almost immediately. You will NOT have to step on his toes, bonk him on the head, holler "NO NO!" or add any kind of physical punisher to get the behavior you want.
It helps to look at it differently. Instead of thinking about what you don't want to see, think about what you DO want to see. You want to see him do what? Keep four on the floor instead of jumping? Good! This is an easy behavior to shape.
Basically, forget ADDING anything when a dog is stressing. All the "NO NO!" and verbal reprimands become just "noise" to the dog who is stressed. Instead, take something away. Take away what the dog wants most: ATTENTION! Yes, jumping up is an excited, attention-seeking behavior.
To change the behavior, simply remove all attention while the dog is jumping up on you or anyone else. Just turn your back on the dog, make no eye contact, don't reach down to pet it, don't holler, just totally turn into a tree and ignore the dog.
Watch closely from your peripheral vision, and the MOMENT your dog puts 4 paws on the floor, give him what he wants: attention, petting. Maybe a treat. You can use the clicker and CLICK the moment those paws hit the floor and stay there a few moments, then deliver a treat: again, deliver the treat while the dog has paws on the floor, don't let him jump up on you to get the treat.
Dogs are learning every moment of the day, whether we are teaching them on purpose or not. Dogs jump because they have been rewarded for jumping in the past. Remember, that even negative attention is attention, and something the dog covets.
Enter the door and when the dog jumps on you, ignore him totally. Turn your back. But the moment he stops jumping up, puts 4 on the floor, and looks up at you with confusion--MARK THAT MOMENT with a click and deliver a treat, and pet the dog, talk to the dog--give the attention it seeks.
The secret is consistency. If sometimes the dog is rewarded for jumping (gets the attention), then the behavior will become stronger. This is called "variable reinforcement" and it's a powerful thing.
Now, once you have the dog remaining on the floor and not jumping, it's great to teach another behavior for him to do. Like "sit" or "go lie on your mat". You can even teach the doorbell's ring as a cue for performing that incompatible behavior. (incompatible with jumping up, that is!)
If you haven't already guessed from the title, Jump Clicker is a game all about jumping as high as possible. Through simply holding down your space bar, you'll be able to slowly elevate your character into the sky. Depending on how high you go, you'll earn an in-game currency called stars, which you'll then be able to spend on boosts and new pets for your character.
Once you've completed the first level, you'll then gain access to the next jump zone where you'll earn even more stars for your efforts. Continue to complete each zone as you improve your jump skills, collect and combine pets to increase your rate of stars earned, and see if you can beat the server's high score as you go head-to-head against other players!
If you double click on (or really near) the border of the cell, the selected cell jumps to the first empty cell to the left in the same row (if it was a side border) or up in the same column (if it was a top/bottom border).
A) One solution, if the original cell is still visible after the focus has jumped to another cell, is to single click the border of the original cell that was double-clicked to bring the focus back to the original cell.

Ask your helper to take a step toward you. Once again, click and treat multiple times to prevent jumping. If your dog starts to jump, have your helper turn around and go back to her original position. Click and treat your dog in quick succession when he has all four paws on the ground. If he is doing well, your helper can get close enough to calmly and briefly touch your dog. If your dog jumps, she should back away. Eventually, your dog will understand that four paws on the ground brings the person closer. Keep greetings short and calm, so your dog can be successful when starting this training.
You can take this exercise one step further by practicing at the door. Doorways are particularly exciting places for dogs; after all, you sound excited when guests come in. Put your dog on a leash. The leash is to keep your dog from running out the door, NOT to pull him back if he jumps. Have your helper ring the doorbell or knock on the door. Throw treats on the ground to prevent jumping and ask your helper to ignore your dog. If your dog keeps his paws on the ground, click and treat multiple times. If your dog jumps, have your helper turn around and leave, closing the door behind her.
Try again. When your dog finally keeps his paws on the floor, have your helper take a few slow steps inside. Continue to click and treat as long as your dog keeps his feet down. If he does jump, she should leave.
Roblox codes are redeemable phrases a game creator puts out to give their players free bonuses. Codes may come in the form of free spins, money, characters, potions, and some even unlock new content. They are mainly used to help players when they are starting out to get a jump start to their gaming experience.
Going over a jump is one of the obstacles in the Horse Agility competition. The handler has the option to jump with the horse or they can go along side of the jump. The handler and the horse should pass over the jump at the same time.
To prepare your horse for jumping In-hand you should start out with them going over ground poles first. After they are confident with that the cross rail jump will be the next step up. Using a cross rail jump focuses the horse towards the center as it is lower and it will also build their confidence.
Jumping a horse In-hand can be challenging but with the use of Clicker training it makes things easier as the horse will offer to jump on their own. When they jump on their own this also builds their confidence as it is their idea and that is why I love clicker training, it is a powerful communication tool.
I don't know why, but I'm infatuated with this game. Don't think any other clicker out so far has had me interested as much as this one. It seems to combine the best parts of pet-raising games like Tamagotchi with the Adventure Capitalist-style clicker (where you restart constantly to grow faster next generation). I think what's really grabbed me is just how silly it is - it really has a great sense of humour.
I generally think this is a fine clicker, but even halfway through league 2 I am hitting a point of diminishing returns where each generation takes a long time and only increases the level by a couple, meaning that I could see this taking a very long time to advance in.
