Alanaim18, if your computer is able to run Windows x64, I encourage you to install it. Think that an x86 OS (32bits) is able to directly manage up to 4 Gb of RAM. Today, most computers had a 64 bit CPU, and more than 4 Gb of RAM, then if you are running a 32bit OS you are wasting the power of your hardware.

The property Autodesk.Revit.DB.ElementId.IntegerValue has been deprecated. It returns only the lowest 32-bits of the ElementId value. Please use the replacement property Autodesk.Revit.DB.ElementId.Value, which will return the entire value.

Two binary breaking changes have been made. Both Autodesk.Revit.DB.BuiltInCategory and Autodesk.Revit.DB.BuiltInParameter have been updated so that the size type of the underlying enums are 64-bits instead of 32.Code built against earlier versions of the API may experience type cast and other type related exceptions when run against the next versions of the API when working with the enum. Please rebuild your addins against the next release's API when it is available.

The previous version stated that ElementId.IntegerValue wouldhandle integer overflow bytruncating 64-bit values down to 32 bits. For values which will fit in 32 bits, we will return the value as an integer. However, if the value would actually need more than 32 bits to represent it, we will throw an exception.

However, if a model were so large as to have Ids that needed more than 32 bits to store the value, the ElementId.IntegerValue property would throw an exception, return a truncated value, or something similar.

Hey guys hoping for some help/guidance/tutelage/advice. I want to make PyRevit button that grabs certain bits of info and throws it into a google sheet. The first one I need is the area of a certain floor. The second is the total of a certain column of a certain schedule. Once I learn these 2 I think I can do the rest. I guess first question is - Is this possible?

4. From a terminal on the revitpythonlibrarywrapper.lib folder, run the build_docs.bat file. This should rebuild the documentation and save it on the folder docs/_build/html.The Docs will be build remotely on readthedocs.org once the code is pushed to github.

Testing python code in revit is a bit unconventional due to the need having to have Revit open.Rpw uses standard unit tests packaged as a pyRevit extensions.Take a look at some of the existing tests, and start by duplicate one of the existing tests. Then add the the parent folder of rpw.extension to your pyRevit Paths and reload. You should see a newtab with all the tests.
