I am writing my own Emacs config coming from doom-emacs and Spacemacs. One thing I really miss is the ability to split windows using split-window-below and split-window-right using S-w s s and S-w s v. I am trying to add this to my config and saw that doom-emacs use hydra for this, however, how they do it is like this:

One of the great things about Hydra is its flexibility; it supports a wide range of protocols and services, a list of which can be found in the manual page -- man hydra from the command line. Note, support for some protocols needs to be compiled in. To determine what protocols and services are supported by your installation, execute the command hydra -- without arguments -- to obtain a list. Figure 3 shows what appears when running the Hydra command without arguments on a vanilla Kali installation.

I am using VMware and have 3 VMs all on the NAT network with DHCP. All three machines can ping each other. From one windows to the other windows, I can RDP into the 192.168.190.130 windows machine just fine.

I want to confirm that hydra works, so back on my Kali VM, I try the following command hydra -t 1 -V -f -l username -p password1! rdp://192.168.190.130. After hitting enter I get two [DATA] messages, 1 [ATTEMPT], and then it pauses for a long time and prints [STATUS] messages to the screen for example: [STATUS] 1.00 tries/min, 1 tries in 00:00h, 0 to do in 01:00h, 1 active

Hi all! I would love to have a place for sharing documentation of live performances using hydra. I know some of these end up buried in closed platforms but I would love to try to share them anyways. Please respond w/ any photo or video documentation you have from past performances, or share info about upcoming performances.

from my client (in C#) I am, via Service, calling a function on my server (Delphi) to convert a file to pdf.
That function is invoking a plugin thats written in C#, so it is being accessed using hydra.
Now when I try to invoke the plugin on the server this is the message I get on the client:

When running that same piece of code from a windows application it works fine (its actually a library that I use for the service and for the windows application). Maybe I need to register the interface (IHYCrossPlatformHost) in my service ?

If you look closely at the code, you'll see the ace-window-relatedlambdas throwing the hydra-disable symbol. If the Hydra code catchesthat symbol, it will not call set-transient-map again, effectivelymaking the head that threw the symbol blue. In this example, though,ace-window-related functions are still red, since the Hydra isresumed by calling hydra-window/body in ace-window-end-once-hook.

Resizing the windows is not as smooth. My usual workflow consisted in just closing windows and/or using SPC w = to rebalance the space between the open ones.This solution was suboptimal, and after months of dissatisfaction I decided to check the other available commands and stop being so lazy.

We can still improve the workflow a little more. Sometimes guessing the correct size is not easy, and resizing windows with something like SPC w > or SPC w + is annoying because the whole key sequence has to be repeated for each step.
