I think that they should have left the oberon parts dropping off the eximus enemies as he is now a mid tier farm instead of a low tier farm and there are many frames that are better than oberon like wisp for healing I also think the parts dropped more often off the eximus enemies than they drop from railjack missions
If they put the Oberon parts back in he loot pool for eximus enemies and leave them in railjack that would make it a bit easier to farm him as you could farm him anywhere in the game as eximuses spawn in all missions and spawn more frequently in higher level missions
This is verry true however is it not bad enough that you need to do railjack for Ash and Sevagoth I do agree with Ash being moved to railjack but not oberon as ash used to only drop from Grineer Manics which rarely spawned and rarely dropped the parts the only place they always spawned was in a raid that no longer exists but as for oberon he used to drop from eximuses which only get more plentiful as mission levels get higher this is why oberons drop location shold not have been changed to railjack
Eximus units are a terrible drop location for an item like Oberon that you only need 1 or 2 of ever. Something that you kill in the 100's or 1000's need to have drops that you want in 100's. Riven slivers are a really nice option and the type of thing that *should* drop from an eximus.
I always liked the oberon parts dropping from eximus enemies as that was a good source of credits in the early game as well as the 1% drop chance was just fine as there was plenty of other stuff that players needed more like the resourses that they also dropped more often and riven slivers have a higher drop chance than the oberon parts had as they are considered a resourse and riven slivers have a higher drop chance than argon crystals and can be dropped anywhere in the game where argon crystals only drop in the void at an even lower drop chance than oberon parts and oberon parts can be dropped by any enemy as well as from stashes where oberon parts were only dropped by eximuses and on average had about a 0.5%-1% drop chance gettting a part of oberon from an eximus was exciting for players early in the game until they needed to farm the resources to build it
Moving the Oberon parts to railjack is a mistake as that makes the parts even rarer due to having to rely on a huge bonus loot pool which makes the chance of getting the parts lower than 0.5% why they did not put oberons parts as rotation rewards for Grineer continous missions (defense, survival, etc)
His 1 is an ok scaling ability , but it's scaling is not on par with enemy Armor scaling. It does damage based on an enemies health values. So it's great against unarmored enemies but falls off very rapidly against armored ones. Range and strength help with it but strength not so much. Can be decent if paired with his 2 and 4s Armor stripping.
His 2 creates an area of radioactive foliage (grass) , the funny thing about this is that it has both a radius and an angle that are both affected by range , so at high range you can cover entire rooms including behind you in a single cast but at lower range you will only cover a small area in front of you , the area also procs radiation and damages enemies in it over time. Radiated enemies attack each other so it acts as a bit of CC as well. Thia ability tends to be a core to all his other abilities to work well enough.
His 3 is a heal over time channeled ability , it scales with strength and has the advantage of staying on allies even if they leave your range (as long as they were affected by it in initial cast) , the downside is that it can drain energy very rapidly if there are many allies taking hits frequently. If the ally is on your hallowed ground from 2 they also gain Armor so it partially mitigates this issue. It can be really problematic when you have a nekros with shadows as it will drain you pretty fast. Good balance of strength , efficiency and duration is needed to make it be worthwhile.
His 4 is an ok ability , it damages around you and drops enemies to the ground. And if they are standing on the hallowed ground they get their Armor reduced and have a chance to drop health orbs if killed. At high levels this is mostly going to be for the Armor strip. As the damage is not that great. And now that they are on hallowed ground with no Armor the damage start adding up from hallowed ground and reckoning.
It works fine at higher levels if you build for health , Armor some efficiency and strength. Duration should be just enough for you to be comfortable for hallowed ground to last while you get your "rituals" completed.
He's also one of my favorites and once one of the best frames that can easily be assembled for newbies. Unfortunately time has passed on him hard and you always can find another frame that does what it does better, or with less energy investment.
