Why would this funding request go through Organization? Seems like
Promotions - this does not seem to fit into the Organization committee.

. Organization: Getting everyone working toward the same vision for downtown
- Guiding Principle: Involves all DDA district stakeholders, getting
everyone working towards a common goal, and driving the volunteer
organization. The Organization Committee is responsible for executive ad
volunteer oversight. This committee not only divides the work load and
clearly delineates responsibilities, but also builds consensus and
cooperation among the various stakeholders and all the other DDA committees.

I don't want things to go through Organization because we are the fastest
route to getting it on the DDA agenda.

First, let me say that I won't be at the meeting tomorrow so whatever is
decided will be okay with me, but I thought I would give you my opinion.

I hold Growing Hope in very high regard and think they are excellent for
Ypsilanti and our residents. That being said, I agree with John's comments.
I don't believe this request should go to the Org Committee but rather
promotions.

As I recall, last year a proposal was brought directly to the board. I
believe we approved their request but that set in motion a process for
funding requests. If this doesn't follow the approved guidelines, we should
point them in the right direction. Their request can then make it to the
board with a recommendation from the proper committee.

I'll see you all soon. Is it warm and sunny yet? : )

Growing Hope comment ... I am not certain that a request for funds is an organizational "issue" and not being aware of the process for such requests for funds (sorry if I have missed that discussion).

I completely forgot to bring up our next meeting date today, I guess it was all the excitement.

But as a reminder, today's meeting was actually a rescheduled meeting from March. We have another meeting scheduled for next Friday, April 22nd. Please recall that we changed the Feb, March, and April meeting dates to accommodate our snowbirds.

However, next Friday, April 22nd is also Good Friday. I would like to ask the group that since we just met, can we forgo this meeting since we will be back to meeting on the second Wednesday of the month in May (May 11th).

Please let me know what you think.

My computer has been working only when it feels like it this week and I have someone coming on Friday from AT&T.  So if I don't respond, please know I am in between a working computer and someone coming to fix whatever it is.  I am OK with waiting until May, if that is agreeable with everyone else.
