So, I think the CDBG funds Tracy Kennedy recently read about and brought to our attention are earmarked for specific projects in North Central.

And, we just missed a city parks and rec meeting, apparently, that was convened to talk about the Frear Park golf course. Gary Galuski, I was told, heads up the parks and rec committee and I'm not sure when they meet next. Part of our next Troy Downtown Playgrounds Initiative meeting strategy could be to apply pressure to Bob Doherty, our district's downtown city councilman, and Gary to encourage them to meet again regarding a downtown playground/getting something into Barker Park.

As we said before, the short-term goal seems to be to get something into Barker Park and then shoot for the stars regarding another/more playground/s.
